With its bold graphic lines, this zebra lapis lazuli semi collar is a true statement necklace. A central pendant sits between two 950 sterling silver bands, and each band carries inlaid lapis lazuli “zebra” stripes.
Our artisans create the stripes by fitting slim pieces of stone between fine lines of silver. They do this precise inlay entirely by hand, so the rhythm of blue and silver stays crisp and even. The look feels modern, yet people have prized the stone itself since antiquity for its deep color and golden pyrite flecks.
A solid sterling silver chain with a silver clasp then completes the design. The chain measures 17 inches, and additional lengths are available. Because the piece is so graphic, it looks best with a plain neckline, such as a simple black dress, a crisp white shirt or a fine knit sweater.
