Lapis lazuli charms and pendants are among the most personal pieces we make, small enough to wear every day and varied enough to say something about the person wearing them. Each one starts as a slab of natural lapis, most of it from Chile’s mine in the Andes, which our artisans in Santiago cut and set by hand in 950 sterling silver or 18K gold.
Some charms are simple, polished shapes that let the stone speak: a deep blue surface with white calcite veins and a scatter of golden pyrite. Others carry a message, such as a cross, a Star of David, a zodiac sign or a Yin Yang, and still others are tiny animals or sculpted medallions. Hang one on a chain, slide it onto a bead bracelet or group several together; no two stones are alike, so every piece is one of a kind.
