Our lapis lazuli constellation necklace is a stylized take on the planets’ orbits as they circle the sun. We handcraft the pendant in 950 sterling silver and place a lapis lazuli cabochon at its center.
Curving silver lines sweep around the stone like paths through space. Meanwhile, the deep blue cabochon plays the role of a distant world, or perhaps the night sky itself. Because natural lapis often shows tiny golden flecks, it can even look like a scattering of stars.
A solid silver backing supports the cabochon. So the pendant feels sturdy, and it looks just as neat from behind as from the front.
