Big and bold, this Araucan lapis lazuli necklace features a 1-inch sterling silver pendant inlaid with lapis lazuli, hanging from a fine 0.8 mm sterling silver chain.
The pendant is handcrafted in Chile by Lapis Lazuli World artisans, who fit the stone into the silver by hand and polish it to a smooth finish. Lapis lazuli’s deep blue, often scattered with golden pyrite, has been prized since antiquity by the Egyptians and Mesopotamians and later ground into ultramarine by Renaissance painters.
