Our Barcelona lapis lazuli earrings take their inspiration from the light and color of Barcelona, the same idea behind our Barcelona lapis lazuli sun pendant. A round lapis lazuli stone sits in a neat 950 sterling silver bezel, and each earring hangs from a slim silver hook.
The deep blue of the stone recalls the Mediterranean Sea and the clear Catalan sky. Meanwhile, the golden pyrite flecks that appear in natural lapis look like small points of sunlight on the water.
At about 16.5 mm long and just over 2 grams the pair, these earrings are delicate enough for the office and pretty enough for an evening out. They also make a thoughtful gift: lapis lazuli is a traditional birthstone for September and December, and it has long been linked with wisdom and truth.
