Elegant and full of movement, the Karina lapis lazuli earrings are handcrafted in 950 sterling silver. Each earring holds two lapis lazuli segments, joined by a sterling silver hinge with tear details.
Our artisans in Chile cut both segments by hand and then assemble the hinge with care. Because the hinge lets each stone move on its own, the earrings sway gently and catch the light from different angles. We also polish every segment smooth, so its deep color shows fully.
Lapis lazuli has been prized since antiquity. The Egyptians and Mesopotamians admired it, and later, Renaissance artists ground it into ultramarine pigment.
Solid sterling silver hooks complete the design and keep the earrings comfortable. At 2.5 inches long, they make a graceful statement for evenings out. For example, wear them with your hair up and a simple black dress, or with a silk top at a dinner party.
