Lapis Lazuli World artisans in Chile cut each large stone by hand and inlay it into the silver frame, polishing the surface until it is perfectly smooth. A slab this size shows off the full character of lapis lazuli, from its deep blue to the golden pyrite flecks that made it so precious to the Egyptians, Mesopotamians and Renaissance painters. Every stone is unique in its pattern and depth of colour.
