Standard Quality Lapis Lazuli 100 Grams Sampler

Description

Try natural blue before committing to a full kilogram with this lapis lazuli pigment sampler. It is a 100 grams bottle of our standard quality pigment, which has a 40-45% lazurite content and is used to produce light blue paints and lacquers.

We offer a 100 grams sampler bottle for each one of our pigment types, with no shipping sub-charge (regular shipping fees apply). It is an easy way to test how the pigment behaves with your binders, surfaces and techniques, or to compare grades side by side.

Lapis lazuli was the source of genuine ultramarine, the blue that Renaissance painters prized so highly, and even a small amount lets you experience that historic colour first-hand. This sampler is ideal for students, painters, restorers and craftspeople, and it makes a thoughtful gift for an artist who loves working with traditional materials.

Exceptional, completely natural lapis lazuli

All our lapis lazuli is of exceptional grade and completely natural. We are one of the few jewelers who never use synthetic stones and never dye our lapis to mask poor quality – practices that are all too common, as much of the lapis lazuli sold today is dyed, reconstituted or imitation stone. That is our difference.
