Celebrate ancestral wisdom with these lapis lazuli kultrun earrings. We handcraft them in 950 sterling silver with extra blue lapis lazuli, and each one carries the kultrún motif.
The kultrún is the sacred drum of the Mapuche people. Traditionally, it symbolizes the universe and the harmony between earth, sky and spirit. Its round shape reflects that idea of wholeness, so the circular silver design feels natural and balanced.
Polished lapis lazuli, flecked with golden pyrite, fills the design with the color of a starry night. Also, because the silver frames the stone so closely, the blue looks especially rich against the bright metal.
These hanging earrings are lightweight yet striking. Solid sterling silver posts and closures hold them securely, so you can wear them from morning meetings to evening plans. They measure 0.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches long, which gives them presence without weight.
The design is also available in all our stones. That makes them a meaningful gift for anyone who loves Chilean culture, symbolic jewelry or simply a beautiful shade of blue.
All our lapis lazuli is of exceptional grade and completely natural. We are one of the few jewelers who never use synthetic stones and never dye our lapis to mask poor quality – practices that are all too common, as much of the lapis lazuli sold today is dyed, reconstituted or imitation stone. That is our difference.
