Our most classic size, the square lapis lazuli tile is very adaptable for detailing work. Each 10 cm tile has a polished finish that brings out the deep blue color and natural golden flecks of the stone.
Lapis lazuli has been prized since antiquity, used by Egyptian and Mesopotamian craftsmen and ground into ultramarine pigment by Renaissance painters. In tile form, it brings a sense of luxury and history to contemporary spaces, whether in a bathroom backsplash, a fireplace surround, a tabletop or a custom piece of furniture.
The square format is easy to plan with, laying out in grids, checkerboards or borders, and pairs beautifully with white marble, wood or brass. Architects, interior designers and home renovators can use these tiles to create a feature that stands out.
All our lapis lazuli is of exceptional grade and completely natural. We are one of the few jewelers who never use synthetic stones and never dye our lapis to mask poor quality – practices that are all too common, as much of the lapis lazuli sold today is dyed, reconstituted or imitation stone. That is our difference.
