Using lapis lazuli tiles and moldings is a way to bring a semiprecious stone into architecture itself. Our tiles can be installed and cut like any ceramic or marble tile, so they suit walls, tabletops, countertops and special interior projects.
In good-quality lapis, the lazurite crystals are irregular and angular, and they reflect light much like tiny facets, giving the surface a shifting, almost three-dimensional blue. We offer square tiles of 5 cm and 10 cm, rectangular tiles including 5 x 2.5 cm and 10 cm formats, and a faceted 5 cm tile. For the most intense color, choose our Extra Blue tiles, available in square 5 cm and rectangular 10 cm sizes. Smaller tiles tend to show a more uniform blue than larger ones.
For borders and decorative bands, our gemstone moldings combine lapis lazuli with marble, in a checkerboard pattern or a diamond pattern.
Each tile is cut and polished in our workshop in Santiago, Chile, using stone of a quality we would also select for jewelry. Most of it comes from Chile’s lapis mine in the Andes. As a natural material, every tile varies in tone, veining and golden pyrite flecks, which gives a finished surface its depth. Each order is hand wrapped and packed in a cushioned, protective box. Lapis lazuli tiles and moldings come directly from the manufacturer, with no middlemen.
