Large Lapis Lazuli and Sterling Silver Cheese Board

Description

Generous in size and rich in colour, this large lapis lazuli cheese board pairs deep blue stone with sterling silver accents. It turns a cheese course into a centrepiece and looks just as beautiful resting on a sideboard between gatherings.

Each board is crafted in Chile by Lapis Lazuli World artisans, who select and polish the lapis lazuli to bring out its blue and its natural golden flecks. Prized by the Egyptians and Mesopotamians and later ground into ultramarine pigment by Renaissance painters, the stone gives the board a sense of occasion. Because lapis lazuli is a natural stone, every board shows its own pattern of blue tones and veining, so the one you receive will be truly unique. The sterling silver accents add a bright, finished edge.

It comes with a silver plated cheese knife. Give it as a wedding or anniversary present, or keep it for your own dinner parties.

We are one of the few jewelers who never use synthetic stones and never dye our lapis to mask poor quality – practices that are all too common, as much of the lapis lazuli sold today is dyed, reconstituted or imitation stone.
