The Laura 14K gold lapis lazuli chandelier earrings are based on a 1960s vintage piece and handcrafted by our artisans in Chile. Each earring carries an oval cabochon-cut lapis lazuli, then a row of lapis beads alternating with gold beads below it, a timeless design for anyone who loves classic chandelier jewelry.
The smooth cabochons show the deep blue of natural lapis, while the small beads add gentle movement. As a result, the earrings catch the light with every turn of the head. The 14K yellow gold gives the blue a warm, glowing frame.
At almost three inches (7 cm) long, the pair makes a confident statement. They look best with a simple neckline, an elegant updo or a little black dress, and they suit an evening at the opera, a gala dinner or a wedding.
The earrings close with a pierced omega back. This hinged clip holds the earring firmly against the earlobe, which helps support the weight of a longer design. All our lapis lazuli is of exceptional grade and completely natural. We are one of the few jewelers who never use synthetic stones and never dye our lapis to mask poor quality – practices that are all too common, as much of the lapis lazuli sold today is dyed, reconstituted or imitation stone.
