Pairing two beloved stones, these lapis lazuli malachite gold earrings are an eye-catching creation handmade with solid 18K gold. The deep blue of lapis meets the vivid green of malachite in a design crafted by our artisans in Chile.
A clever gold hinge gives the earrings movement and flexibility, so they sway gently and catch the light. Solid 18K gold posts and closures hold them firmly in place. Lapis lazuli has been prized since antiquity, and its blue makes a striking partner for malachite’s banded green. Every piece is cut, fitted and polished by hand before it leaves our Chilean workshop, a process that rewards patience and a careful eye.
At 1.20 inches long and 5 grams in weight, they are substantial yet comfortable. They make a distinctive gift for someone who loves color, and they are also available in all our stone combinations: lapis-lapis, lapis-malachite, lapis-obsidian, lapis-rhodochrosite and lapis-turquoise.
All our lapis lazuli is of exceptional grade and completely natural. We are one of the few jewelers who never use synthetic stones and never dye our lapis to mask poor quality – practices that are all too common, as much of the lapis lazuli sold today is dyed, reconstituted or imitation stone. That is our difference.
