Big and bold, this Araucan lapis lazuli necklace features a 1-inch sterling silver pendant inlaid with lapis lazuli, hanging from a fine 0.8 mm sterling silver chain.
The pendant is handcrafted in Chile by Lapis Lazuli World artisans, who fit the stone into the silver by hand and polish it to a smooth finish. Lapis lazuli’s deep blue, often scattered with golden pyrite, has been prized since antiquity by the Egyptians and Mesopotamians and later ground into ultramarine by Renaissance painters. The pendant’s generous size makes the inlaid stone easy to admire.
