Q – What is a Cookie?
A – Our site utilizes “cookies” to retain your log-in information and the contents of the shopping cart in order to move from page to page without needing to ask for your password each time the database is accessed. If your cookies are turned off, you will not be able to shop online in any ecommerce store, including Lapis Lazuli World. Q – I am running Internet Explorer and cannot log-in to your site?
A – Newer versions of IE (Internet Explorer) have added additional privacy features, which may make it difficult to log-in to password protected web sites. The below steps will help you change the settings to enable you to login.
- From your browser, go to:
- Tools –> Internet Options.
- Click on the Privacy settings Tab.
- Click the DEFAULT button.
- Click OK.
Q – I can’t log-in. When I try to log-in I just get sent back to the log-in screen.
A – Please make sure that you have cookies turned on.
Q – How do I turn on Cookies?
- PC (Internet Explorer 6.0 and earlier)
- From your browser, go to:
- Tools –> Internet Options.
- Click on the Security settings Tab.
- Make sure that the slider is set for medium.
- If it is set on custom you can click the “Default Settings” button to reset these to the “medium” setting.
- Click OK.
- PC (Firefox 1.xx and earlier)
- From your browser, go to:
- Tools –> Options.
- Click on the Privacy Icon on the left.
- Make sure that the “Allow Sites to Set Cookies” option is checked.
- Click OK.
- PC (Netscape 8.0 and earlier)
- From your browser, go to:
- Tools –> Options.
- Click on the “Site Controls” Icon on the left.
- Under the “Web Features” section, make sure “Allow Cookies” is checked.
- Click OK.
- MAC (Safari 1.3 and earlier)
- From your browser, go to:
- Safari –> Preferences.
- Click on the “Security” icon at the top of the window..
- In the bottom panel of the window, In the “Accept Cookies” option, select either “Always” or “Only from sites you navigate to” (This option will accept first party cookies only).
- Close the dialog box.
- MAC (Internet Explorer 5.2 and earlier)
- From your browser, go to:
- Explorer –> Preferences.
- Double click on the “receiving files” item in the left window..
- Single click on the sub-item named cookies.
- In the right window, selct the drop down menu item named “never ask” or “ask for each site” (in which case you will have to accept the enom cookie when prompted).
- Click OK.
